During the first story of the ‘Axiom Saga’ the Ninja
interacts and comes across a variety of characters, all who play integral parts
of the beginning story. The ‘Axiom Saga’ flashes back through several years of
Ethan Shaw’s earlier life and how all things lead to this final outcome. It isn't until Ethan is met by an inquisitive reporter named York which results in Ethan
questioning his moral code and has his life completely turned upside down.
After the Ninja’s first attempt to expose Victor to the city
Shaw gets his guards and assistant to try and find out all they can about the
mysterious saboteur. Victor comes off more focused on getting revenge on the
Ninja than he is about finding this own son, and hires a group of trained mercenaries to track down the rebellious rogue.
Almost every character within the first saga has their own
goals and objectives, with all answers pointing to just what is it that Victor
is trying to keep concealed and the Ninja is trying to expose...

Below is the cast and a small insight in who each character is...
York
*Trading card style intros to each of the characters.
The character York becomes the catalyst to the entire story of the beginning saga. Just as Victor's power and influence begins to grow and take hold over Titan city York's investigation leads more into Shaw's businesses.
DI Roscoe
Peace keeper, DI Roscoe is a strong and quick witted
inspector. Only recently transferred to Titan City her first assignment is to
the investigation for the apparent kidnapping of the illustrious Ethan Shaw.
Although all evidence seems to point to the mysterious Ninja figure DI Roscoe
still follows her gut-spirit and thinks there’s more to Victor Shaw than meets
the eye...
*Typo in the card, Roscoe is only a Detective Inspector (D.I.).
"18"
Victor Shaw’s personal assistant, "18" gets the job done.
Probably his most trusted worker she handles areas of Shaw’s organisation in
his absences and aids as his PR agent. Cunning, ruthless and very seductive “18”
is a charmer, tasked with tracking and retrieving Shaw’s stolen technology “18”
thinks several steps ahead always waiting for that one mistake to take
advantage of.
Clara Shaw
*This is still a work in progress at this stage.
Ethan’s mother, Victor’s wife, Dr. Clara Shaw is an attentive
and gentle soul and maternal figure to Titan City. A brilliant geneticist and
head administrator at Titan Infirmary Clara’s role in life has always been to
help people. Clara is seen as the rock to the Shaw family and a dedicated wife
to Victor for many years, she is eventually devastated and beside herself
during the events of Ethan’s disappearance.
Skerrett
A fierce and focused fighter, Tyson Skerrett is Shaw’s right
hand man, acquiring captain status of Shaw’s personal protective squad within
just a couple of years and still at a relatively young age. Skerrett makes it a personal deed to get the job done
for Shaw, with multiple combat skills and a traditional background in Irish
boxing. Skerrett has sat through several of Shaw’s project developments and had hoped
to be top candidate to wear the MK II cybernetic suit before it was stolen.
Victor Shaw
For the past several years philanthropist and engineer,
Victor Shaw has been apprehending large capitals of the city, citizens have
believed he had been doing this for their benefit, but unbeknown to everyone Victor
has been manipulating and controlling the city for his own evil plans. When his
own son soon finds out the truth he plans to expose Victor’s evil schemes to
the entire city before it becomes too late. Victor is cunning and very
ingenious using every available asset in his power to get what he wants.
Ethan Shaw / The Urban Ninja
Ethan is a character of depth and inner-strife, questioning
his decision virtually every step of the way he knows his father won’t stop at
his quest for total control. Committing sabotage and corporate espionage for
years Ethan has been following his father’s developments both publicly and in
secret using his father’s own technologies against him. After acquiring enough
material Ethan conducts his own kidnapping and retreats into seclusion.
Modifying the super suit enhancements Ethan takes on the persona of the Urban
Ninja, a hostile vigilante vowing to bring Victor Shaw’s exploits to light.
*Ethan rarely goes out in civilian disguise, constantly developing improvements to his father's MK I and MK II cyber suits.

Trio
Employed under the Shaw Con. business for decades ‘Trio’ are
sent wherever needed to do the jobs that not many can get done. Each being a soldier
of war they were at one point horribly wounded on the battlefield and entered
into Shaw’s ‘rehabilitation’ programme, gaining upgrades and enhancements to
become elite fighting machines. Now they’re in Titan City once again, this time
to capture the Ninja and seize the technology stolen from Victor, but is it
possible that these soldiers have planned a much different fate for the Ninja...?

· In the future I hope to create a rich tapestry of
characters and sub-stories as I develop the graphic novel further. I also hope
to use this project to incorporate techniques of art design,
cinematography/editing and visual dynamics. This project does mean so much to
me, because it possesses a chance for so much creativity and artistic
exploration (in both my art and writing styles). In the next few weeks I'll be
adding to the developments of the first saga, with screen dumps, splash pages
and animatics of my progress and testing, as well as creating a new page for
images and pieces which I have been finishing off this year for my end to the
